A teenager who created fake profiles as a boy to groom schoolgirls who were underage, for sex has been jailed for nine years.

Chantelle Johnson, 19, invented multiple characters to trick the three girls.

It is said she invented a make believe family with an even faked a child’s funeral.

Her sickening behaviour was exposed when the mother of one of her victims, uncovered her twisted plot.

The twisted girl met her victim disguised as the boy she had created but hid her full face.

In another twist she even contacted the girl as herself claiming the fictitious boy was “head over heels” which only made her victim believe her lies even more.

Faked a child's death

It is reported that they met numerous times and even kissed and took part in sexual activity.

She then created another fictitious boy who messaged another girl, persuading her to send pictures of a sexual nature.

Plans were made to meet with the make believe boy but he failed to arrive at the designated spot.

She then created a third fake profile was to send more messages to the second girl as Johnson continued to manipulated her victims.

The sick girl even claimed the first fake boy had an eight-year-old sister who had died of a heart complications and even invited the girls to the funeral.

“The whole scenario was made up,”  Mr Cleasby told the court. “No death had occurred and no funeral took place.”

A fourth character was then created, said to be the father of the boy, to encourage them to meet up.

It was claimed the father was seriously ill and only had hours left to live.

She invented three more false profiles, again pretending to be the boy’s family, seemingly to back up the fantasy world she had created.

"sophisticated grooming process”.

The court heard how Johnson had sexually abused a third girl, this time as herself, kissing and touching her and persuading her to take part in sexual activity online.

Worryingly after she was barred from seeing the girl, she would hang around her school to speak to her.

Johnson told detectives she did it because she was 'lonely' and made up the profiles in order to gain sympathy from her victims.

When she was arrest it was discovered she had snapped a SIM card in the back of a police car seemingly to destroy any evidence.

Johnson, who is from Middlesbrough, pleaded guilty to 12 charges of meeting girls following sexual grooming, causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, sexual assault, causing a girl to be involved in creating child abuse images and perverting the course of justice.

Michele Turner for the defence, said: “Chantelle is not an average and normal 19-year-old girl.

Socially isolated

“She is socially isolated, exceptionally immature and vulnerable in her own right.”

She continued by saying Johnson’s actions were “childlike”, easily detected, and inappropriate, but Johnson believed they were loving and did not understand the consequences.

She said Johnson was “exceptionally challenged” with a very low IQ and a very troubled start in life where she was “pushed from pillar to post”.

A psychologist’s report said Johnson’s lack of empathy and selfishness could explain her behaviour.

Judge Howard Crowson said her behaviour was “rather worrying”, given Johnson’s “clear ability to manipulate and construct plausible lies”.

Addressing her: “I consider this was deliberate, well planned, targeted abuse of young girls.”

She was sent to a young offenders’ institution for nine years and four months with a year’s extended supervision.

She was given a sexual harm prevention order which monitors her contact with children under the age of 16 and internet use, she will also be placed on the sex offenders register, both indefinitely.
